I found a box turtle on the road a couple weeks back. Surprized he was as far across the road as he was with out getting run over.
So I picked him up and brought him home for te little one to
play with for a few days then was going to let him go. Well it turned out being fun to much watch him run around the house.
So we googled turtle food for him and other stuff. The boys
did most of the research. And we tried feeding him ( or her )
turned out he loves Berries, grapes, tomatoes and Ham. LOL

Well, I have to tell ya box turtles are far from be dumb
animals. He goes back to his corner every nite to sleep.
He comes in the kitch to eat, YES I said comes to the kitchen to
eat. Thats when you know he is hungry he will be siting in the kitchen with his neck stretched out, not hiding. Soon as you
get the bowl out of the frig he heads toward you. He will even
take the grapes out of your hand.

We have found him on pillows in the kids room, on top of towels
in the landury room and during the day he will be stretched out
on the floor in the dinning room. I think he likes the hard floors to soak up sunshine in the mornings and early afternoon. When the sun goes down he does a couple laps around the living room cause we blocked him out of the bedrooms now then heads off to the dinning room to sleep.

I still here it's not the same as a puppy. Well he is easier to
take care of. LOL
